This international summer school offers an immersive exploration of craft, design, and culture in Denmark, spanning ten days across Aarhus and Copenhagen. Participants will engage with Danish craft traditions, material innovation, and contemporary design practices through expert-led discussions, site visits, and interactions with designers and artisans. The course provides comprehensive exposure to the evolution of Danish design, craft cultures, and material experimentation, enabling intellectual inquiry and cross-cultural exchange. Visits to museums, design studios, and workshops will discuss how craft techniques intersect with modern technologies. The course is part of Threads of Innovation (TOI) (2021-2025), an International Academic Research Project between the Faculty of Design, CEPT University and the Faculty of Architecture and Design, NTNU, Norway, focusing on craft, design education, and cross-cultural collaboration.
