THREADED NOTE: A CRAFTED SONG

Jay Thakkar (Tutor)

Kamna Vyas (Teaching Associate)

Indian traditional crafts are one of the oldest practiced activities in the world. Even though there is a vast variety of crafts we focused on the crafts which are mostly concentrated on embroidery crafts. Over this time of four months, I have learned that traditional crafts reflect social, economic, cultural, and religious forces. After all of our visits to the village learning crafts, I have tried to portray their culture, tradition, daily practices, and lives through a visual medium which I have developed through this semester. Through my story, I am spreading a moral which is that everyone should celebrate crafts through what they love.
